JEWELRY CARE

JEWELRY CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your SIMandROZ jewelry is a precious and delicate piece. To preserve and maintain its original beauty, we recommend taking a few precautions by following these instructions and understanding how to care for your jewelry.

CLEANING

Your jewelry should be cleaned regularly. You can easily clean it with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft brush. After cleaning your jewelry in a bowl of warm soapy water, rinse it with clean, warm water. Dry it with a lint-free cloth. We recommend bringing your jewelry to us annually for a professional inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.

STORAGE AND CARE

Store your jewelry in a clean, dry place. After use, store each piece separately in its original box or in a fabric-lined jewelry box to prevent damage. Do not store jewelry mixed in drawers or boxes; contact with other pieces can cause scratches. To prevent chains from tangling, fasten the clasps and lay them flat.

Consider removing your jewelry before going to bed. Avoid wearing jewelry while exercising, washing your hands, or using chemical products. Everyday products, such as hairspray, lotion, perfume, or other cosmetics, can contain chemicals that can permanently damage your jewelry. Exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor your jewelry, damage some gemstones, and loosen stones or settings. Avoid contact with perfume, alcohol, cosmetics, ammonia, and chlorine. Jewelry should be removed before swimming in a chlorinated pool or using household cleaning products.

Be careful of direct sunlight and heat. Just as the sun's harmful rays damage skin, light and heat can fade or damage some gemstones, such as amethyst, kunzite, and topaz. Other gemstones, especially amber and opal, can darken over time with excessive exposure to light. To avoid suspicion, store your jewelry in a dark-colored bag or jewelry box.
